I was a patient of yours for some time and you actually redid my front veneers for me when I had insurance and I worked for Countrywide Home Loans. You were the best dentist that I have ever had and your staff was always top notch. We all know what happened to Countrywide, and many good people lost their jobs originating and underwriting mortgages due to the housing market falling apart. I have been without an income for over a year now and my veneers are basically chipped pretty bad. I have been dealing with chronic pain from multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, and neck and back issues that cause me to clench my teeth to the point where I am chipping and breaking my teeth even with pain medicine. I was wondering if u could recommend anything that
would help at this point or if you would be able to help me. I am going back to college on the 16th of January and I am already the oldest in my class at 40 yrs old, being able to smile might make me not look so old. I have medicaid but they will only handle emergency care for adults. (386)898-1325

I have just found your website and Podcasts, which I am really enjoying. I have a broken upper bicuspid that I am interested in replacing with an implant, if possible, but I have heard from others that the mini-implants do not hold. In fact, several dentists won't even use them because they say they are so bad. I am suspecting because of a small mouth and little bone that they would be best in my situation, just wanted to ask you your results so far with them for crowns. Thank you.

I was also interested in costs - and there were no ideas of how much these "mini implants run" - per tooth, or with crowns or??? How much are root canals and regular bridges per tooth? Thanks, Tom

I recently decided to go into dental assising, so this was a good podcast! Just to hear some of the things that assistants do. I tell people that I am goin to school for dental assisting, which by the way I start a one year program this fall at a community college about an hour from where I live, anyway I tell them I am going to be an assistant and most of them immediately ask the question "so you are going to clean teeth?" and I have to tell them that is what hygienists do not assistants and then they precede to ask what's the difference. And I know a little about what they do, but not a whole mo so this was good for me so that when people do ask what is the difference between a dental assistant and hygienist I have a little more knowledge about the difference. I would have liked to hear a little bit mor about what would Jessica say to someone who was working a dead end job or whatever and they were to ask her about the whole process what would she say? For me I do know a few people who have been through the process, but it's hard to just come out and ask. So if she knew someone was interested, but was too shy to ask would she approach them and tell them and let them ask some questions? Thanks for this podcast and I look forward to hearing more about what it takes to be a dentist!!

Thank You, Thank you, Thank You....

I was reading thru some postings about free dental care. MOST IF NOT ALL were about rants about who they were treating. Bad things happen to our neighbors, I do so appreciate the fact you help your community thru learned skill, education, and a great sense of charity. God bless.

These lasers were created by dentists, receiving extensive clinical trials before receiving Federal Drug Administration approval. This technology is set to reinvent periodontal surgery as we know it.
